Investor Charter

Trading Profit adopts the SEBI Investor Charter for Research Analysts as our binding commitment to every client.

A. Vision

To enable retail investors to make informed trading decisions through transparent, evidence-based, process-driven research that respects their capital and their time.

B. Mission

  • Provide research that is honest, independent, evidence-based and free from conflict of interest
  • Disclose every assumption, every position, every conflict, every track record
  • Treat process discipline as more important than outcome storytelling
  • Respond to every client query within defined service levels
  • Operate in full compliance with the SEBI (Research Analysts) Regulations, 2014 and all amendments

C. Services offered

  1. Written research recommendations on Indian equities, equity derivatives, and (where subscribed) commodities and IPOs
  2. Daily focus list with entry, stop, target and time horizon
  3. Pre-market and post-market notes
  4. Position sizing guidance
  5. Weekly performance review with full disclosure of closed positions
  6. Educational content on risk management, position sizing, and trading discipline

D. Rights of investors

  • Right to receive the Most Important Terms & Conditions (MITC), Disclosures and Risk Disclaimer before subscribing
  • Right to fair, accurate and timely research aligned with your risk profile
  • Right to know all fees in advance with no hidden charges
  • Right to a refund as per our refund policy (within 7 days)
  • Right to a written response to any grievance within 21 working days
  • Right to escalate unresolved grievances to SEBI through SCORES or ODR
  • Right to privacy and data protection under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023
  • Right to terminate the subscription at any time through the account dashboard

E. Responsibilities of investors

  • Provide accurate KYC information including a valid PAN
  • Complete the Risk Profile questionnaire honestly so we can recommend a suitable subscription tier
  • Read the MITC, Risk Disclaimer and Disclosures before subscribing
  • Understand that we are a Research Analyst, not an Investment Adviser, and that we do not give personalised advice
  • Make every trading decision yourself; do not blindly act on any recommendation
  • Use research strictly for personal use; do not redistribute, republish or sell it
  • Inform us of any change in your contact details, PAN or financial circumstances
  • Use only official channels to communicate (member portal, registered email IDs, official Telegram channel). Do not engage with anyone claiming to be from Trading Profit on personal phone or unofficial WhatsApp groups

F. Dos for investors

  • Always verify the Research Analyst’s SEBI registration on SEBI’s intermediary search
  • Insist on receiving and reading the MITC before paying
  • Read all risk disclaimers carefully
  • Make payments only through official channels to the registered entity name
  • Keep all communications and receipts on record
  • Trade only with capital you can afford to lose; respect position sizing

G. Don’ts for investors

  • Don’t trust any “guaranteed returns” or “assured profit” claims — these are red flags
  • Don’t share your account password, OTP, or trading credentials with anyone
  • Don’t make payments to personal accounts; pay only to the registered entity
  • Don’t act on tips received over WhatsApp or unverified Telegram groups
  • Don’t take leveraged positions in derivatives without understanding margin and assignment risk
  • Don’t ignore the SEBI fee cap; any RA charging more than ₹1,51,000 per family per year is in violation
